Our team ministers to children (birth-5th grade) through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions.   There are needs for Lead Teachers and for classroom helpers.

Teach and mentor middle and high school youth at gatherings on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and at other times during the week.  Also opportunities to bring snacks, assist with setup and chaperone special events.

Our team welcomes people to VBC at the front doors, assists first-time visitors, and provides information at the entrance to the sanctuary.  Team members also act as ushers and do an attendance count.  Volunteers may choose between 9a.m. and 11a.m. service. 

Timing: 2x/month.  Arrival at 8:30a.m. for 9a.m. service.  Arrival at 10:30a.m. for 11a.m. service.

Our team maintains inventory, prepares coffee, sets up refreshments, and act as coffee bar hosts for Sunday mornings (and occasional VBC events).  Volunteers may choose between serving at the 9a.m. service (must arrive by 8:15a.m.) or the 11a.m. service (must arrive by 10:45a.m.).

Timing: 1x/month.  Must arrive by 8:15a.m. for 9a.m. service and by 10:45a.m. for the 11a.m. service.

This team assists with managing communion supplies, making the bread, preparing trays, and setting up communion tables, tablecloths, and trays in the sanctuary (there is communion in both services each Sunday).

Our team leads the congregation in worship and music on Sunday mornings and for special services.

Timing: 1/x month for both services at 9:00a.m. and 11:00a.m.  Arrival at 8:00a.m. until 12:30p.m.

Our team serves as the hosts and support of the Connect4 New Member classes.   They greet guests, provide any needed snacks, and provide materials and assistance to those discovering their next steps at VBC.

Timing: 1 month on/2 months off.  Arrival at 8:30am.

Our team facilitates the VBC experience by transforming the sanctuary and fellowship hall for occasional meetings like quarterly member meetings, classes, yearly Small Group Leader meetings, and other special occasions. The Set-Up Team arrives as identified for the event and moves chairs and tables as needed for the event.  The Break Down Team removes tables and replaces chairs after the event.

Our team helps provide support to the missionaries and missions that VBC contributes to, can facilitate serving opportunities through mission trips, and casts vision for missions at VBC.

The vision of the women’s ministry team is: “To connect, develop, and equip the women of VBC to strengthen each other and the Church for God’s glory.”  Specifically, we do this through planning mentoring training and connections, bible studies, prayer times, and events/retreats.  We need women whose strength is toward the “head” with discernment to brainstorm and keep us faithful to God’s Word; women whose strength is the “heart” to keep us focused on loving Jesus and how to love women suffering from the brokenness of this life; and women whose strength is “hands” to carry out all the practical details of carrying out these plans. We meet once a quarter and would love to have you join us!”
