Promises
God of Abraham, You’re the God of covenant and Faithful promises
Time and time again, You have proven You’ll do just what you said
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn, when you speak a word, It will come to pass
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
From the rising sun to the setting same I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
God from age to age, though the earth may pass away, Your word remains the same
Your history can prove, There’s nothing you can’t do, You’re faithful and true
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn, when you speak a word, It will come to pass
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
From the rising sun to the setting same I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
I put my faith in Jesus;
My anchor to the ground
My hope and firm foundation;
He’ll never let me down
(x3)
He’ll never let me down
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
From the rising sun to the setting same I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me!
The Glory of The Lord
Jesus, hear my plea; worry and fear are my company
Your Spirit comforting: Truly it’s You who surrounds me
So teach my heart to see; all of the joy set before me
Illuminate the wait; Mourning will one day turn to praise
That I may be-hold the Glory of The Lord (x3)
Lion and the Lamb; I look upon Your face and Your nail-scarred hands
You pick me up again; rescue me from hopeless human plans
And teach my heart to see; all of the joy set before me
Illuminate the wait; Mourning will one day turn to praise
That I may be-hold the Glory of The Lord (x3)
Oh Lord hear me, to You alone I sing this melody
I’m Lonely and fractured, but Jesus You’re all that matters
Matchless and Holy my soul secure in You only
Oh Lord help me; I believe; help my unbelief
help my unbelief
That I may be-hold the Glory of my Lord (x3)
Build My Life
Worthy of every song we could ever sing; Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe… We live for You
Jesus, the Name above every other name; Jesus, the only One who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe… We live for You… Oh, we live for You
Holy, there is no one like You, There is none beside You, Open up my eyes in wonder
Show me who You are and fill me with Your heart and lead me
In Your love to those around me
Worthy of every song we could ever sing; Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Show me who You are and fill me with Your heart and lead me
In Your love to those around me
I will build my life upon Your love; It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone; And I will not be shaken
X2
Holy, there is no one like You, There is none beside You, Open up my eyes in wonder
Show me who You are and fill me with Your heart and lead me
In Your love to those around me
Sermon: Romans 6
Romans 6:1–14 (ESV): 6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
