Christmas Eve Service
Join us on Christmas Eve for a special family service! This shortened service will be the height of our advent season where congregants of all ages are encouraged to rejoice together. Bring your families to enjoy worship, a short sermon, and a special song sung by our VBC Kids.
And because no celebration is complete without yummy treats, we will also have a dessert potluck! Bring your favorite Christmas recipe to share with the rest of us! VBC will also have hot beverages. We hope you'll join us on December 24th, at 5:30 pm. Come let us adore Him!
Christmas Cleanup
On January 3rd, VBC needs help cleaning up after our Christmas season. So if you love cleaning, can help store things, or if you are a grinch who hates Christmas, please come out to help!
From 9am - 12pm, we will plan to pack up our festive decorations and prepare for service in 2026.
Flourish Parenting Conference
As a gospel community, it's important to us to have spaces where we can come together to work through the challenges we face. A major area of life where we long to see growth and new life is within our families and parenting! We'd like to invite you to join us for our Flourish Parenting Conference on January 24th! We will have keynote talks on Family Discipleship and Technology & Kids followed by pick-your-topic breakout sessions covering a huge range of topics like school choice, keeping fun alive in your marriage, and more! Lunch and childcare will be provided!

DP5: Worship
We are launching a new Discipleship Pathway class in January! This six-session class will focus on Worship as more than a Sunday morning activity. Blending history and practical application, we will study how to embody a life of worship wherever you are. With a large emphasis on responding to the beauty of God, you will learn how to foster a genuine relationship with Him that will change how you approach life.
Join us on January 25th as we dig deeper into this topic and emphasize how worship should change our actions and interactions in daily life.
PreMarriage Class
Do you have some big plans in your future? If you are engaged or pre-engaged (not really a relationship status) then we would love to have you participate in our Pre-Marriage Class!
Marriage is a big deal and so if you are thinking about taking that step in your relationship, we want to support and disciple you. This group will meet together over the course of a few months for teaching and encouragement that will guide you in this next phase of your life. You don't want to miss out!

DP2: Connect 4
VBC’s Connect4 New Members class guides you through learning all about Valley Bible Church, how you can get connected, and how to begin engaging in VBC’s mission of making Christ known in the valley.
Connect4 is made-up of four steps that guide you to (1) connect to God, (2) connect to God's people by exploring VBC (3) connect to your purposeful design, and (4) connect to God's mission by learning what it means to be an ambassador with God at VBC.
Women's Retreat
Valley Women is hosting a women's retreat Feb 20 - 21 at Eagle's landing in Newcastle, VA - less than 1.5 hrs away!
We will have a time of sharing from VBC sisters, good conversations around the fireplace, hiking, game time, and good food.
Two nights and food for only $120 and scholarships available! Various sleeping arrangements available!
VBC Kids: Christmas Cookie Extravaganza
Join us for Christmas cheer and creativity for VBC Kids Christmas Cookie Decorating on December 6th from 10am-12pm! Bring your family to decorate delicious Christmas cookies and get into the Christmas spirit.
We will provide cookies to decorate, things to decorate with, and a hot chocolate bar! All you need to bring is your kids, your creativity, and your friends!
This event is open to kids ages 1-13 throughout the community, so invite your friends, and don't forget to register on the church center app!
Christmas Decorating
Tis the season! One large element of our worship is allowing beauty to point us to Christ. During this season, we would like to invite you to join us in decorating the church for Christmas.
We are looking for volunteers to help with putting up the heavy trees and reaching the high spots with ladders. Special bonus if you wear festive clothing!
Make sure to let us know you're coming by registering. We would love to have many hands involved in making the church beautiful for the holiday season.
Thanksgiving Meal

Baptism Service
Baptism is one of our favorite cultural rhythms at VBC. If you have not yet been baptized or would like more information about baptism, please sign up for the class!
Class will be two sessions, one on November 2nd and one on November 9th. Baptism service will be on November 16th.

One of the marks of the believer is their baptism into Christ following their profession of faith. If you have not been baptized as a believer and would like to be, or if you would like to learn more about baptism, please register for our Baptism Classes on Nov 2 and Nov 9 during the first service in the parsonage.

Fresh Start Class
Fresh Start is a six-week course that meets at 11:00am during the second service. We will cover nine foundational stones upon which believers can build the rest of their lives. Whether you are a new believer or want to better understand what a relationship with Jesus looks like, this short course is for you!

College Age Hike
Are you ready for an adventure? Join us for a fun and scenic hike on Saturday morning, October 25th! This is a great opportunity for college-age individuals to connect, enjoy the outdoors, and explore the beautiful Dragon’s Tooth Trail on the Appalachian Trail.
The plan is to meet at VBC on Saturday morning, 10/25, at 10:00am to carpool to Dragons Tooth then return back to VBC afterwards. We hope to see you there! Feel free to invite your friends—it’s going to be a great time outdoors.
Parent's Night Out
VBC wants to care for families and give them a chance to connect with each other! Parent's Night Out is an opportunity for parents to rest, engage with the community, or maybe have a date night! We will provide free babysitting at VBC and dinner for the kids to support parents with a night off! Parent's Night Out is Friday, October 24th from 5pm-8pm! Register on Church Center!
Child Dedication Class
Hey Parents!
We are excited to announce a special class for parents who want to dedicate their young child or children on October 19th from 11 - 12:30 pm. In this class, we will cover important information about the significance of child dedication and what it entails.

Building Community
Building Community is an eight-week class that meets during the first service at 9:00 am. We will cover:
Why we need to choose community by learning six theological truths related to who God is and who we are.
What community is by being more than a choice – it is a pattern of living which consistently chooses relationships.
What inhibits the development of it by understanding that the influence of our culture has caused us to adopt certain tendencies that inhibit the development of community, and
How we can experience community.

The Forge - Men’s Bible Fellowship
You are invited to attend The Forge Men's Bible Fellowship (TF-MBF). This Bible fellowship provides a regular time for VBC men to connect with brothers-in-Christ. Discussions will primarily focus on Biblical teaching for men.

Teacher and Volunteer Training
VBC loves our volunteers, and we want to equip each and every one! We're holding a training on September 20th from 10am-12am where we will cover essential material to help you grow in confidence to serve VBC Kids. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just interested in applying to join the team, this training is for you! Child care will be provided. Plus we will have coffee and brunch items!
Faith Drive Entrepreneurship Conference
Calling All Entrepreneurs!...and anyone interested in faith driven businesses. Faith Driven Entrepreneurs will be streaming their annual conference on Friday September 19th from 8am to 12pm at Valley Bible Church. This will be an introduction to many of the faith-based companies around the world doing great kingdom work.
The event will encourage your participation, entrepreneurial thoughts and how you can engage. The event is being sponsored by a VBC member and it is free to attend. Come learn about great companies and meet other local entrepreneurs doing kingdom work.
We will open doors at 8am and the streaming event will start at 8:30. Coffee and snacks available. If you would like to know more, please contact Tom England at TomEngland@ParetoInsight.com.
College Welcome Back Lunch
What could be better than free food? Free food and community! If you are college-aged, come for our Welcome Back College Lunch after second service on February 2nd. It will be a great time to connect, meet new people, and learn how you can be better equipped in your walk with Christ!
Discipleship Overview Class
Discipleship Overview is a five-week class that meets during first service. The focus of this class is on establishing a Biblical definition of discipleship and showing how to walk out discipleship as a way of life at Valley Bible Church.

Christian Wellness Seminar
Join us for an engaging seminar designed to inspire and empower Christians with a practical understanding of holistic health and wellness. Together, we’ll explore how to care for the amazing gift of our bodies, minds, and souls in a way that aligns with God’s purpose for us.
Throughout the event, you'll hear from presenters on topics such as healthy eating, exercise, stress management, mental health, and the importance of sleep. After each presentation, you'll have the chance to connect with others in meaningful discussions about the topic. To wrap up, you’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights from our panel of speakers.

Popsicles on the Playground
Summer is long, and we love to have some extra points of contact for community and fellowship! VBC Kids is doing Popsicles on the Playground at VBC where VBC Kids volunteers and families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of playing together, fellowshipping together, and of course enjoying popsicles together! We will be at our new VBC Playground on June 21st from 2 - 4 pm. Can't wait to see y'all there!

Run Club Fun Run
Race distances: 1 mile; 5k; 10k; Half Marathon.
This is an unofficial run for each person to do at their own pace. The goal for the Fun Run is to have fellowship around running and food. There will be recommended loose start times. The start/finish line will be the same for everyone.
Run and give the amount of effort of your choosing. Go for a PR or just walk a mile with a friend.
If you come either as a runner or spectator, please bring a prepared dish to share (we do not plan to man the grill). At 11:30am we will have a potluck.
Easter Service
He is Risen indeed! Come celebrate Easter Sunday with us at one of our three services! We will have a 7am, 9am, and 11am service. This is a great time to invite friends and family to join in our congregational worship service.
As usual, we will have childcare during our 9am service. But not as usual...our 7am service will have donuts!!! That's right, if you can be at the church that early you will gain your earthly reward of donuts. Get them while they last!
Easter Egg Hunt
Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 19th, from 10am-11am at the field behind the Roastery at 1319 W Main St!
Kids will come together and hear the Easter story before having the opportunity to find hidden eggs! Register on the church center app and invite your friends in the community!
Good Friday
Please consider joining us for a special Good Friday service as we gather to remember the day our Lord was crucified. This unique and meaningful service will provide an opportunity for us to reflect on the significance of "Good" Friday and somberly seek to understand its deeper meaning.
This year, we will be having two services at 6pm and 8pm. We will also be having childcare for the 6pm service.
We believe that this service will be a time of spiritual growth and reflection, and we encourage you to join us as we seek to find the true significance behind this important day in the Christian calendar. We look forward to having you with us as we come together to honor and remember the sacrifice of our Lord.
Valley Women’s Summer Book Connection Game Night

Family Hike
If you are interested in enjoying fellowship with other VBC families and connecting with your children about faith, we invite you to join us on our VBC Kids Family Hike! We are hiking the Cascades together, followed by a brief devo that will be accessible to all ages! We will meet at the VBC parking lot at 10am on Saturday, March 29th and carpool to the Cascades together. If you have any questions, please contact Shannon Kate Eddins at children@vbcradford.com!
VBC 15-Year Celebration
Can you believe that VBC has been a church for 15 years??? This year marks our 15-Year anniversary and we are planning an epic celebration.

March 23rd marks our celebration date, and we will be sending more info in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to celebrating the goodness that God has shown us over these past 15 years!
Ash Wednesday
The season of Lent starts on Wednesday, March 5th. This day is known as Ash Wednesday and is a day of repentance, when we confess our sins and profess our devotion to God.
We would like to welcome you to join us for service on that day, so that you can be marked with the sign of the cross as a reminder of Christ's sacrifice. We will be hosting a service at 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
