Women's Early-Morning Bible Study

Join us for an early-morning study through the book of Joshua! This group meets from 6 - 8 am at Pam Behal's house, for a time of deep study and reflection. Purchasing Jenn Wilkin's study book will be helpful, but it is not required. While there is no childcare for this group, the meeting does have coffee and a light breakfast.

The book of Joshua chronicles God’s continuing faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises to Abraham. It is a book of transitions, in which Joshua rises to leadership and the people of God step across the Jordan into the long-awaited land of promise. The task of possessing the land will test the limits of their strength and their courage, but God’s covenant will not fail them. And Joshua’s faithful example will whisper toward the perfect faithfulness of Christ Himself.

We look forward to exploring this book together on Sunday mornings and also in smaller studies throughout the week. We hope you will join us as we dive deeper into the word!

“None of the good promises the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.” Joshua 21:45

The book of Joshua chronicles God’s continuing faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises to Abraham. It is a book of transitions, in which Joshua rises to leadership and the people of God step across the Jordan into the long-awaited land of promise. In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the book of Joshua, Jen Wilkin helps us see how God’s commands, though sometimes difficult, are always rooted in His steadfast love for His people. Israel’s story is our story. We battle not against flesh and blood as they did, but we courageously war against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, trusting in the finished work of the true and better Joshua, Jesus Christ.

Easter

He is Risen indeed! Come celebrate Easter Sunday with us at one of our three services! We will have a 7am, 9am, and 11am service. This is a great time to invite friends and family to join in our congregational worship service.

As usual, we will have VBC Kids during our 9am and 11am services. But not as usual...our 7am service will have donuts!!! That's right, if you can be at the church that early you will gain your earthly reward of donuts. Get them while they last!

Good Friday

Please consider joining us for a special Good Friday service as we gather to remember the day our Lord was crucified. This unique and meaningful service will provide an opportunity for us to reflect on the significance of "Good" Friday and somberly seek to understand its deeper meaning.

This year, we will be having two services at 6pm and 8pm. We will also be having childcare for the 6pm service.

We believe that this service will be a time of spiritual growth and reflection, and we encourage you to join us as we seek to find the true significance behind this important day in the Christian calendar. We look forward to having you with us as we come together to honor and remember the sacrifice of our Lord.

Women's Bible Study - Abide

How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us?

In three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

Make sure you order the book in time for class!
