Make meaningful connections this fall with one of our fall launch initiatives!

  • VBC Kids

VBC Kids is excited to announce that we will be expanding our Sunday Morning program to 2nd service! Our 9:00am service will stay the same, but starting September 7th, VBC kids will be offered to kids up through age four!

  • NXTGen

Our NXT GEN Youth Ministry is starting up again! We welcome middle and high school students to join us to study God’s word and have fun together on Wednesday nights! We start back up on Wednesday, September 3rd from 6-8pm here at VBC. If you have any questions or are interested in getting your middle or high schooler involved, fill out a connect card!

  • College Students

What could be better than free food? Free food and community! If you are college-aged, come for our Welcome Back College Lunch after second service on Sept 7th. It will be a great time to connect, meet new people, and learn how you can be better equipped in your walk with Christ!

  • Women's Bible Studies

    Wednesdays @ 6am - Exodus

Our Early-Bird Women's Bible study will be working through a study of Exodus this fall. Come see how this book follows the journey of God's people as they walk to the promised land.

We will meet at the Behal residence. There will be no childcare, but coffee & light breakfast provided!

    Wednesdays @ 9:30 - Better

In this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.

  • Small Groups

We were created to be in relationship with others, and we believe that church doesn’t end on Monday morning. Small groups are integral in building the community that God wants for us and thus, we strive to be a church of small groups rather than a church with small groups. Weekly, our church body intentionally meets throughout the New River Valley to spend time in community on mission with one another. Our groups are made up of men and women from all generations of life and they meet weekly to have fun together, build lasting friendships, study God’s Word, and pray together.

  • Discipleship Pathways Classes

Starting Sept 7th - Discipleship Overview

We desire for VBC to have a clearly communicated, sustainable, and effective Discipleship Pathway for everyone from unbelievers to experienced ministers to grow further in holistic spiritual maturity. That growth should be present in mind, heart, and hands. We put our knowledge into practice through community, learning environments, and spiritual practices. We believe in continual sanctification through Christ so that we may attain fullness of faith (Heb. 10:22).
